I’ve noted before that what I like about the character of Korra is her ability to let go of personal grudges, make friends with people who initially antagonised her, and help them out.  Related to this is her interesting desire to not only foster good future relationships, but to literally bring people close to her physically by having them live with her.  What’s more, when she brings people into her home, they tend to exhibit greater personal growth and depth than they did living independently.

Korra, it seems, just wants to live with everyone….

Great read!! Korra’s desire to be surrounded by people she loves is something I picked up on as well (it becomes somewhat important later on in the fic I’m writing right now!), and this is a fantastic breakdown of it. 

Also, the picture/commentary at the end made me giggle. :3

I’m late responding to you on this, but I just wanted to say: thank you.  I’m glad that it was entertaining, and that this could be helpful in fanfic writing; such provisions are most important after-all.

I’ve been thinking about the relationship timeline…  Do we know roughly how long Pema and Tenzin have been married?  Building off of that, what the time-frame was between when Tenzin and Lin broke it off, and when Pema and Tenzin got married? 

“Sweetie, I’ve born three children in very close succession, and I’m pregnant with a fourth.  So, I think you can buck up a deal with Korra’s attitude problems independently without whining to me for a bit, okay?”

I know Jinora is ten, so presumably (again, a big assumption) they’ve been married at least that long…  But I also presume Pema/Tenzin dated for a while before getting married…  But then again, maybe they didn’t.

I’ve just been thinking about the whole Air Temple family lately…  And how much I love Jinora (it’s all about Jinora, man…)
